Guidelines

There are no real guidelines for length or subject matter and by now I expect people are used to my sometimes idiosyncratic tastes and choices from previous Mammoth volumes. But if you are in doubt, submit; I'm always happy to consider material.

Stories should have been published (anthologies, books, magazines, web mags, ebooks) online or in print during the calendar year 2002 and should be sent to me by mail, NOT e-mail. As to types of stories, my tastes are both varied and idiosyncratic and can be deduced from reading the 7 previous Mammoth Erotica volumes, all still in print.

This week I received yet another request for information on writing screenplays for porn videos, which unfortunately I am unable to provide. As far as I know, porn videos are mostly shot without scripts, and any tweaking of the plot that needs to happen is handled on the set.

But I certainly could be wrong.

Do any of you have any inside information on the subject? If so, feel free to share ;)

Send Me Your Stories And Ideas!

I'm looking for essays/articles that will inspire and/or instruct other porn writers. Success stories, how to break into certain markets, unique views on the genre, etc. Around 800 words is good, although I'm flexible.

I'd love articles on specific markets. There are so many sub-genres of porn and it's hard to know the subtleties of each. If you've got a specialty, from BDSM to Watersports to Leg Sex to Amputeeism, feel free to share your knowledge.

You can either suggest a topic (query) or send something whole. I'll get back to you within a week as to whether or not I'll be able to use it.

Payment varies; From $5-$10 per article (depending on site income for the month) OR a copy of one of the books on the Order Form. I'll also include a lengthy bio and url if you'd like.
